In episode 5, “The Way the Cookie Crumbles,” Furinkan’s home economics class bakes cookies while Gosunkugi spies on Akane with his camera. At the same time, Kodachi Kuno bakes her own batch and leaves her school to bring them to Ranma.
Ranma hesitates to try Akane’s cookies, and Kodachi seizes the chance to steal them. Akane blames Ranma, so he chases after Kodachi. During the chase, he ends up falling on top of her in a compromising position, just as Gosunkugi snaps a photo. As it turns out, Kodachi’s cookies were laced with a sleeping agent, and the boys who ate them passed out.
Akane asks Kasumi to teach her how to bake. Just as she finally offers Ranma a decent batch, a letter from Kodachi arrives: she has the photo and threatens to spread it all over town. Ranma rushes to her house and even eats the copies so no one sees them, but the real problem is the negative.
Kodachi tells him it is on the collar of “Mr. Turtle,” her pond pet. It turns out to be an alligator, and the collar is electrified. Ranma is knocked out in the water, turns into a girl, and is found by Tatewaki Kuno. Meanwhile, Akane suspects Ranma is being blackmailed and sneaks into the Kuno mansion to find out.
What Will Happen in Ranma 1/2 Season 3 Episode 6? Predictions
These predictions are based on the manga; the anime could change some details.
- Girl-type Ranma has to escape Kuno. With Kuno convinced he has rescued the “pigtailed girl,” Ranma will need to get away from him without revealing who she is.
- The fight for the negative. The alligator’s collar is still the key. In the manga, the collar ends up somewhere unexpected, and Ranma has to get creative to recover the negative.
- Kodachi plays dirty with Akane. Kodachi will not give up easily. She will likely use the photo, or an altered version of it, to provoke Akane and drive her away from Ranma.
