Right after returning to the past, Takemichi gets caught in a brutal clash between Rokuhara Tandai and Brahman. Both gangs want the same thing: to recruit him. But Takemichi turns down both offers and makes it clear that all he wants is to take on Mikey, the leader of the Kanto Manji Gang, and beat him.

Which Manga Chapters Does Episode 56 Adapt?

This season’s episode titles match chapter titles from Ken Wakui’s manga. Episode 55, “Turbulent period,” shares its name with chapter 208, and episode 56, “Shows her color,” shares its name with chapter 216, the first chapter of volume 25.

That means episode 56 should adapt roughly chapters 212 to 216:

  • Chapter 212: Battle of the titans
  • Chapter 213: Living legends
  • Chapter 214: The engine fired
  • Chapter 215: After a storm comes calm
  • Chapter 216: Shows her color

This is an estimate based on the titles and the synopsis; the anime may reorder or combine scenes.

Tokyo Revengers Episode 55 Recap

Spoiler warning: this section covers the events of episode 55.

Episode 55, “Turbulent period,” picks up right after the season’s most shocking moment: Mikey, consumed by his dark impulses, shoots Takemichi. As Mikey throws himself from the rooftop, Takemichi desperately reaches for him and ends up traveling ten years into the past.

The 2008 he lands in is very different. Two years have passed since the Tokyo Manji Gang disbanded, and the city is caught in a gang war to fill the power vacuum. Three groups dominate: Rokuhara Tandai, led by South Terano; Brahman; and Mikey’s Kanto Manji Gang.

Takemichi seeks out Hina and apologizes for leaving the future right around their wedding. She promises to support him no matter what. Then Chifuyu suggests reuniting the old Toman, and Takemichi reconnects with old friends like Mitsuya, Hakkai, Pah-chin and Peh-yan. Still, he hesitates: dragging them back into gang life could ruin the futures they have worked for. Meanwhile, Mikey seems to sense that Takemichi has returned.

What Could Happen in Season 4 Episode 6? Predictions

These predictions are based on the official synopsis and the manga; we avoid major spoilers for the arc.

  1. Senju shows who she really is. The title “Shows her color” points straight at Senju Kawaragi. The episode will likely reveal details about Brahman’s leader that surprise Takemichi, starting with her true personality.
  2. A big clash between Rokuhara Tandai and Brahman. The fight between the two gangs should be the episode’s main action set piece, with South Terano as the biggest threat.
  3. Draken’s role. According to the synopsis, Draken guides Takemichi to Senju. His connection to Brahman, and why he is there, will be key to understanding this new timeline.
  4. Takemichi joins Brahman. Siding with a gang that rivals Mikey is a huge risk. The episode should show how his old Toman friends react to that choice.
  5. Mikey makes his move. With the Kanto Manji Gang watching, it would not be surprising for the episode to end with a sign that the war between the three titans is getting closer.
