Dandadan Chapter 251 Recap
Heads up, Chapter 251 spoilers ahead.
Chapter 251 is titled “You Quit Being Human or Somethin’?” and picks up the chaos left by Okarun’s oni transformation.
Kinta tries to get Momo out. Kinta carries Momo away while she insists on fighting Okarun. He tells her she can’t beat him and they need to retreat, because Okarun isn’t in his right mind anymore. But Hase won’t let them escape: he kicks them, chases them down and mocks how slow Kinta is, and Kinta calls him a coward.
Okarun doesn’t recognize anyone. Hase launches Okarun right into Kinta and Momo’s path. Momo tries to reach him by reminding him he said he loved her, but it doesn’t work and Okarun keeps attacking. Kinta turns his back to shield Momo, takes the oni club hit and loses his armor’s wings.
Momo protects Kinta. Hase throws Kinta’s own words back at him: all that matters is winning. Then Momo spreads her arms and stands in front of Kinta to shield him with her body. Hase, as twisted as ever, yells at Okarun to watch the girl he loves protect another boy. At the end of the chapter, Turbo Granny shows up, and Okarun leaps at her with his club raised. Her return gave a lot of fans a serious nostalgia hit.
What Will Happen in Chapter 252? My Predictions
This is pure speculation based on how Chapter 251 ended.
1. Turbo Granny is the key to waking Okarun up
Nobody knows Okarun’s power better than Turbo Granny, since it’s hers after all. I think her role this chapter will be snapping him out of it, either by fighting him or by telling him something only she can say. Insults included, of course.
2. Hase keeps playing with Okarun
Hase is weaponizing Okarun’s jealousy and rage. As long as he keeps provoking him, it’ll be really hard for Okarun to regain control. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tatsu gives Hase a harsh reality check this chapter.
3. What does this form cost Okarun?
A transformation this powerful is rarely free in Dandadan. I’m worried this oni state is taking a toll on Okarun’s body, and that Chapter 252 will show the consequences.
4. Kinta without wings
Losing his armor’s wings puts Kinta at a disadvantage, but his bravery last chapter made him look great. I hope he has an ace up his sleeve to keep protecting Momo.
